Stranger From The Past is a good name for David Eisley's new cd. To many many people he is a stranger, to me he was too, unitl one day I was reading the credits on the only (there were only two) Giuffria cd. David was the lead vocalist for the band, so he was singer of their awesome debut cd Giuffria, and the ok follow up. He was the vocalist to the top 20 hit Call To The Heart. But all of this doesn't mean much today, we are talking about 25 years ago. And his voice shows the age too. He can no longer hit the high notes, and on the rocking songs his voice comes across almost annoying screech. Only when the songs are slowed down that he sounds better. Of course it would help if the production was better, the rockin sounds hit you with a thud of a solid rock, and about as clear as one to.
But there are some highlights to this cd the intro,the title track Stranger From The Past, Can't Call This Love, Don't Turn Away, and Departure.
